Fragmented thoughts around the emoji: its roots in the Japanese script, its new popularity in the West, its political aspects, the way it is used from East to West... These thoughts are entirely personnal and led as a Franco-Japanese future graphic designer.

To how extend does the emoji take its roots in our language and our social interactions? What does it say about us, about others? Where does it come from? Those are the questions we are trying to answer.

As for the layout, a new emoji practice is being tried in each fragment of the book, a bit like in Raymond Queneau's Exercises in Style.

On the back of the jacket cover the Emoji of the Month, a side project led with Colas Taszek, can be found.
